New Sector Files Available

Wed Aug 01, 2018 12:28 am

All,

The sector files for the new SCT procedures are now available. Here's what's changed:

VRC Sector File
  • Airspace maps updated to reflect new SCT splits.
  • SCT RVMs updated with slightly more up-to-date ones.
  • As promised, the L30 RVMs have been updated to reflect the new airspace delegation.
  • Maps with detailed SCT sector strata are available as well, available under the main RVMs.
vERAM Profile
  • Alias/POF refreshed
  • Added new SCT airspace boundary.
SCT vSTARS Profile
  • RVMs updated. New SID/STAR maps that make more sense, and also have more up-to-date procedures.
  • RDVS adjusted with new SCT frequencies.
  • Various improvements to processing volumes, mainly arrival filter altitudes being lowered considerably.
  • Alias/POF refreshed.
L30 vSTARS Profile
  • Alias/POF refreshed. Should've done this with the update a few days ago...
ATCT vSTARS Profiles
  • Alias/POFs refreshed. Some changes in facility sector IDs to facilitate quicklooking neighboring radar sectors.
POF Files
  • Norton's frequency has been changed to 127.0 to reflect a real world change.
  • New frequencies for new SCT sectors added.
  • What's cooler than being cool you ask? Our two brand spankin' new POF files, of course!
  • SCT now has its own POF file for those looking for more realistic handoff IDs when working SCT.
  • A ZLA ERAM POF has also been released for those of you that can't get enough of three-character handoffs.
Alias File
  • Aliases added to bring up new SCT split boundaries. Existing ones adjusted accordingly.
  • Added a few extra aliases to deal with common pilot deviations.
vATIS Profiles
  • Did you know that Van Nuys got D-ATIS? Now you do! We've added a Van Nuys vATIS profile for your own enjoyment.
  • The LAS vATIS facility now has a NOTAM regarding the runway 26L localizer frequency change in configs 1/3. Maybe that'll stop pilots from doing their best flight check impression every time they're told to join the localizer...
