1804 Changes

Sat Mar 10, 2018 1:41 am

Howdy all,

Cycle 1804 is about 20 days away, so that means that changes for the next cycle have been released. Without further ado, here's what's new:

BUR:
-The VNY transitions on the ROKKR got deleted, and HONZK was added between RDHOT and PRPLE. This means that the IVINS will probably no longer be NOTAM'd out come 1804.
-The THRNE into BUR, VNY, and SMO got some waypoint/crossing restriction changes.

LGB:
-The REDHL is getting deleted, for reasons I'm unsure of.
-All of the charts have removed references to the old 16/34 parallels.

SAN:
-The ILS/LOC 9 has been split off into two procedures, the ILS/LOC Y 9 and the ILS/LOC Z 9. The Y is the old ILS procedure, and the Z is new. The difference? The Z has lower minimums, but it requires a higher climb gradient during the missed approach.

Not a whole lot this time around. There should be a massive update coming during the last days of May. The sector file update should come a couple of days before the new cycle drops.

Cycle 1804 is now live. One note: the SERFR into SFO has been upnumbered from SERFR2 to SERFR3. It was updated due to issues with keeping aircraft inside the class B airspace at SFO with the old procedures, so many crossing restrictions and waypoints were moved around.
