I am planning on taking a nice scenic trip next week through the mountains from Banning Municipal to Oxnard. I figured I'd post it here in case anyone wanted to tag along.

Depart: KBGN
Arrive: KOXR
Route: KBNG L35 47CA 46CN L70 CASTA HENER KOXR
Distance: 151nm
Departure Time: Approx. 1800 Pacific

I'll be flying the Commander, and the cruise range on that can be anywhere from 90 knots-250 knots, so there is lots of room.

Beautiful route, Bill! I've visited Agua Dulce a number of times (even had a bird strike there on xplane!).

It is a very nice route. Looks very good with MegaScenery loaded for FS9, I really hope it looks just as nice in XPlane.

I liked what we did on the VFR flight last night, where we took off uncontrolled, but had a tower online for the landing. If someone wants to man Oxnard Tower that night, I would be grateful, along with anyone else who'd be going too.

This is how it looked in XP8 back in Feb of 07: http://picasaweb.google.com/keith.smith ... KernValley

XP9 introduced more detailed terrain data and better looking water.
