Hopefully you know me (If you don't I'm Colin Schoen, ZLA_CS). I have been flying the mini route and requesting VFR from controllers in training as long as I can remember. I look forward to participating in the published ZOTSOT sessions and seeing the rest of you there as well.

Hey guys FN here (Joe),
I am in on ZOTSOT. I really enjoy flying within ZLA. As some of you know I am working towards my PPL out of KMYF, a great place to learn class bravo transitions and airspace, and great VFR opprotunities up and down the coast, as well as to the east.

Before I ever started real world training, I had been on VATSIM for 500+ hours at least? Then going into real world, my instuctor would ask me how I knew certain things, and I would tell her, from my sim. Radio communications were a breeze, thanks to VATSIM, and I think I was doing comms, completely, after my second flight, with a little help from my instuctor getting VFR request's form SoCal.

I really believe in the ZLA team and its training program. Calling in for my V1, was nerve racking. Then getting to I9, I figured 10 and 11 would be easy, NOT! It was however very well done, and all the controllers were so helpful. Which made me want to join. I hope I am able to help all with there OTS's, and have traffic for mine!
