Re: ZLA Dinner/Weekend 2011!

Last year was a blast....CAN'T wait for this year's dinner! Anyway, I thought I would make my recommendation for the restaurant: it's the Spitfire Grill, which is located at the Santa Monica Airport. The place has great food, awesome prices, and best of all, it's airplane themed and located at an ai...

Re: Feedback and few questions

Why is it that you are unable to fly the RIIVR2 arrival in the DC-3? The RIIVR2 can be flown quite easily, by intercepting VOR's, and calculating your descent to each waypoint along the way. You'll notice that each waypoit has a DME marker, which is its location along the radial. For instance, "RIIV...

Re: Editing Sector Files

Joe, I've updated quite a few airports with labels in the past, and I'd be happy to update this one as well. If you include your email address, I can send you the file, and you can simply replace yours with the updated one. Eric, I'll go ahead and make the additions, and send them over to you in the...

FSX LAX scenery package

Hello all, and happy holidays! I know a lot of guys have been griping about the lack of decent LAX scenery for FSX, and I think a found a solution! I found a scenery package made by a developer called “Newport”. From the looks of it, it’s a photo-real package that includes all of the Los Angeles are...

Re: Moving On

Thanks so much PG, for all of the hard work you put in to making ZLA's training program top-notch! You're leaving some pretty big shoes to fill, and we can all hope that whomever steps up and takes over continues the training program on the path you're leaving it on.

Take care, and good luck.

Re: Handing back my keys

Mike, I'm sorry to see you going, but after catching up on forum posts, I can completely understand why it is you are choosing to leave. It was with you that I earned my first rating, and without your assistance, there is no way that I would have obtained my tower or approach solo certs. In my nearl...
