Post Your "Cheat" Sheets!

Friends, I know many of you have made quick reference guides for yourselves. Post them here and let's talk about what information they contain and the best way to read them. Everyone has a personal style, but I think it would be helpful and we can use this thread as a resource for new students.

Re: Next Step

Once your Delivery exam is graded you will receive an e-mail with instructions. In the meantime, you can get a head start by setting up VRC and being ready for your first ground session by reading the STM.

Re: OBS Next Step

Hello Josh, Yes, use the "training availability" function on your profile to mark you availability for training. We're pretty backed up right now, so I suggest you make yourself available for as much time as possible. Early morning and late evening are the least likely times to receive a training of...

Virtual United Golden Summer Night [14 JUL 2018 | 1400-1800P]

https://virtualua.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/summer-image.png Our friends at Virtual United will be holding an even with some giveaways on the 14th, flying IAH to LAS. Let's support them by staffing Center and L30 for their arrival. They wish to express their apologies for the short notice...

Re: The New SCT (Effective August 1st)

I'd like to take this moment to profoundly thank Daniel for the work he's poured into creating these new procedures. As mentioned, this can seem like a lot to take in. We're going to spend the next few weeks getting the training staff up to speed so they can answer any questions that arise. In the m...

Fly American Airlines Virtual West Coast Event [ 22 JUL 2018 | 2359-0400Z | 1700-2100P]

Fly American Airline Virtual will be having folks fly into SFO from LAX on the 22nd. It would be good to staff up at least Center and SOCAL or Center and Local. Use the signups on the homepage calendar if you're able to provide coverage.

Re: is PADRZ1 active?

Hello Brendon,

The PADRZ departure was upnumberd to PADRZ2.

If you haven't taken your second test yet, I would suggest you spend the next few days familiarizing yourself with our airspace and procedures. There are plenty of resources available and the tests are open book.

Re: frequency LAX

Since most aircraft coming from Europe end up coming from what ostensibly is "east," they can get put on either 24R or 25L depending on how SOCAL needs to space them out. If you're looking for the Asia push, those generally end up on the North Complex (24R), and there's great spotting from the park ...
