(Posted on VATSIM 1-9-9) Hey Keith I saw your Appointment VP Pilot Training News yesterday, but I went to the doctor's office and didn't have time to reply then. But today, I want to say that I was happy and glad to see your name as the new leader of the Training segment of our population. When we w...

Team Speak is SSOOOOOOOOO cool! Furnace Creek Campgrounds was the site of a sleepless night for me. In a raging wind storm that swept the Valley, my tent collapsed on top of me. I used a tarp and my motorcycle as a windbreak and settled in to watch the stars and the sand blow overhead. No sleep that...

SoCal Fires!

I just heard on TV @ 1635 CST that Google Earth is updating the SoCal region every two hours to help with identifying fire breakouts!
God Bless all of those people! My prayers go out to those affected.

Current Winds

So 190 degrees would be the parallel of runway 01 and downwind leg heading.

What runway do you use?
10,25,01, or 100
Explain answer!
Wayne, if you are in the J-3, how many people will it take to hold it down on runway?

Hey Wayne
NOT a problem, I will NOT be stealing your VFR Flying Club guidelines! Come to find out, ZFWARTCC doesn't even have a Forum for Pilots to use (only Controllers).
You guys (Pilots) at ZLA are really lucky to have an outlet like the Forum to express yourselves. Thanks anyway, Wayne!

VFR Flying Club

Hey Wayne Can I 'STEAL' your Sticky(s) to start a VFR Flying Club in Texas? I would give you full and much deserved credit for the time and effort that you put into the format of a very good ZLA VFR Flying Club model. The wording of your plan is concise and easy to understand. The key, I believe is ...

Tuesday Night Flight

Today, flying 288 degrees out of FIM (112.5) enroute to KSBP on the 95.3mile leg and intersecting at the 180 degree radial of FLW (117.5) over the San Rafael Wilderness Area, I saw two California Condors mating on the wing at 9,727 feet. WOW!
