Pictures from Recent Trip to SNS

Sun Feb 22, 2009 1:19 pm

Hey guys, recently I flew with some Cessna's up to Salinas, CA for a flight competition. For those curious the route was PRC-EED-VCV (overnight due to WX) VCV-BFL-MRY-SNS. Same route back without the stop at MRY. Here are the pics.

The airplane I flew most of the trip in KVCV, the Cessna, not the 747

Everyones favorite airplane, maybe a little out of place

Anyone up for a race?

Some IFR practice.

The next sequence is from the LOC/DME 28L into MRY.

Big Sur Area.

While there several storms moved through, creating some weird scenery contrasts.

From Ocean to Snow in 5 miles flat...

Ill take guesses for what airport this is, the ZLA club has been there before.

Snowy mountains

Hope you enjoyed.

Half Moon! Great shots. Was that Laguna Seca? Never been in real life, but I recognize from Gran Turismo :P That's where the ZLA VFR into IMC Club departed its inaugural flight!

Since when does Delta fly a 747?

Technically it flies Northwest flight # operated by Northwest, repainted in Delta colors as part of the merger

That's awesome! It's amazing to see how much time and work goes into painting an airplane with a texture that is 95% plain white. Only makes you wonder how they manage to do these babies: Image
